小学生の時、夏休みにここ来てて、2階に色々と展示してあったの覚えてるし、よく涼みに来てたなぁ? 若宮周辺のスポットの噂を2階にあるテレビで見れたり、色々展示してあると思うから是非来て欲しいと思う。

山口郷土資料館に行きました。本当は承久の乱で朝廷軍として幕府軍と戦った山田重忠の資料を期待していたのですが、残念ながらありませんでした。しかしここ山口地区の古代からの歴史や文化を紹介していてとても興味深い資料館でした。地元の警固まつりや棒の手を人形を使って再現していますが、人形の表情がやたらリアルです。何かこだわりがありそうですね。瀬戸市が窯業がさかんなのは有名ですが、ここ山口地区が「瀬戸窯業発祥の地」と言われているそうです。その点も興味深いですね。民具展示室には昔の民具が色々展示されていて文字通り「昭和の香り」が漂っています。もっとも昭和と言っても「戦前」ですが。それほど大きな資料館ではありませんが、こちらの展示を観ていると、この資料館を作った人々の地元愛というか郷土愛を強く感じます。訪ねてみて損はない場所だと思います。

The local guard festival and the hands of the sticks are reproduced using dolls, but the facial expressions of the dolls are very real. There seems to be something particular about it. It is famous that Seto City has a lot of ceramics, but it is said that the Yamaguchi area is said to be the birthplace of Seto ceramics. That point is also interesting. In the folk implement exhibition room, various old folk implements are exhibited and literally "Showa scent" is floating. However, Showa is "prewar". It's not a big museum, but when you look at this exhibition, you can feel the local love of the people who made this museum. I think it's a good place to visit.
