全国の高橋姓の祖先が祀られている、
高橋姓の起源だとされているらしいです。
あと、料理人の神が祀られている。
近くに高橋という橋があります。
駐車場はありませんが、参拝ぐらいでなら前に停めていても問題なさそうです。
春には神社前の川沿いに桜がびっしりです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 高橋姓の始まりに縁があると聞いて参拝させていただきました。とても小さな社ですが、延喜式内社でとても格式の高い神社です。現在、佐保川にかかる高橋から南に200ｍとちょっと離れた所にありますが、元はここよりもっと橋に近かったようです。松永久秀の焼き打ちで移動したとか。地域の方や近くの会社などにより大切に守られているようです。

Currently, it is a little 200m south of Takahashi over the Saho River, but it seems that it was originally closer to the bridge than here. It was said that Matsunaga Hisahide moved by burning. ○この社は「高橋」と名乗る人たちのご先祖をお祀りしています。
○神社の前の佐保川を100mほど遡ったところには「高橋」との銘がある橋梁が架かっています。「平城京」内のこの橋の近くに住んだ「廷吏（下役人）」の料理人が「高橋」さんのルーツです。
○小難しいことは、この神社の由緒書きを読むと良いでしょう。私の90歳になる母の旧姓が「高橋」なので、奈良に連れてきたついでに訪れたわけでした。母は「ホントにこんなところがあるんや。」と驚いていました。母と並んでお詣りしました。「調理師」をしている兄も何かの縁なのでしょうね。
○ありがたいことに、「佐保川」を整備された建設会社さんのご厚意で社地や鳥居、由緒書きなどが整備されていました。
