Great Gyoza (with a lot garlic) and nice rice dishes. 99% locals. Staff only speaks japanese, no english menu.

Small restaurant by Shimbashi station, crammed with salarymen and OL eating top-quality gyoza. Reasonably priced. If you like garlicky, fried dumplings and ice cold beer, This is the place for you.

This place is something akin to a Japanese tapas spot. Lots of small plates. I went when it was relatively crowded. Had to wait for about a minute until I was seated at a two person table, sharing it with the businessman across from me. It was a normal thing and we were both cool with it and didn't talk. Got the fried rice set. Came with gyoza, soup (like egg drop), and some cold chicken pieces on cabbage. All four items tasted great. Exactly what I was hoping for. Was able to pay with credit card on the way out. I would absolutely go back.

Amazing dumplings! Bigger than most other places, and by far the best we’ve ever eaten before. Yum!

Not really for western pallettes, okay though. Warning for non-Japanese people, their staff only speaks Japanese (not at all surprising), and while their menu does have English titles on the food, the rest of the menu is entirely in Japanese. This place is nice enough, and the food was tasty enough. But the food is made more to Asian standards, and not western standards. If the only "Chinese food" you know about is from Panda Express, this probably isn't the place for you. They only cook the gyoza (potstickers) on one side, leaving the other side essentially raw, which produces a texture westerners generally don't care for. You also have to mix your own dipping sauce, which is fine if you k own how to do that, but, again, if Panda is your only experience with Chinese food, I doubt you'll like it. Also, their cuts of meat are far fattier and with gristle than westerners are used to. I ordered their sweet and sour pork in addition to the potstickers. Maybe their chicken has a leaner cut? I don't know. Overall, I liked the food. It is served in a combination table + counter setup. The place is small, and just outside Shimbashi station. Give it a try if those caveats above don't bother you ;)
