★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 貯水タンクのある坂の途中から左の草が生えた道の方へ入って徒歩５分ほどで古墳に到着します。二次大戦中に使われる予定だった砲台跡が池になって古墳の横に残っています。
From the middle of the hill where the water tank is located, enter the grassy road on the left and arrive at the tomb in about 5 minutes on foot. The remains of the battery, which was supposed to be used during World War II, have become a pond and remain next to the tomb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019年8月の酷暑のお盆真っ只中、宮西古墳の正規駐車場から歩いていきましたが、なかなか遠いので大変です。蜘蛛の巣が激しいので棒必須です。やはりあの見渡せる場所に古墳がそこにあるのはなにか特別なチカラがあるのか。古墳の頂点に立ったときだけ風がふきぬけたのを感じました。1号墳墓も2号墳墓も。(※古代は見渡せたかもですが現代では木々に覆われて超森々しています)砲台跡の池はかなりの深さでした。
