Surprisingly small

I have been protecting the town quietly since ancient times.

It is a small Inari company. It is also the name of the intersection.

[Ginnan Inari Jinjya Shrine] In the 2nd year of Genna (1616), Mr. Iguchi was solicited. Originally, the rice fields were widespread around here, so a good harvest was prayed for. This is Inari, near the old Waseda-dori. The Ichounoki tree behind the shrine is the origin of the name of the shrine. I am very grateful to Inari for forming the calm air around here. There used to be a big ginkgo tree on the back mountain of this shrine, which is the origin of the name of this Inari shrine. There is no vestige of Koyama on the back.

～ From the signboard information ～ Our company is the guardian of the former Shimoigusa village, and the company name is derived from the large ginkgo tree in the back mountain of the shrine. The building is said to be the ancestor of the Iguchi family, Iguchi Gaiki, with the sign on the building tag saying "Our company solicitor Genna 2 (1616) years old, ancestor Gaiki construction (abbreviation)". The Iguchi family is said to be the descendant of Mr. Miura in Sagami (currently Kanagawa Prefecture), and moved to the area during the Tensho era (1573-1592), and many of the family members served as village heads and senior citizens. There is also a theory that the place name of Igusa was caused by the fact that the name of Nagasaemon, who gave his surname Iguchi, was called "Kabane Nagasaemon". Our company, which was enshrined as a guardian of the village, used to have a precinct of about 200 tsubo, and in the Edo period it was managed by Myoshoji Temple in Shimoigusa Village as a separate priest, but now there are more than 30 people centered on the Iguchi family. It is worshiped by the locals as Inari during the eaves class. The large nobori of "Senior First Rank Ginkgo Inari Daimyojin" dedicated by Mr. Shimoigusamura in February 1829, which is still left today, is a precious thing that shows that the Inari faith was still popular from that time. It is a document. Every year at the beginning of February, the head of the caretaker plays a central role in setting up this large nobori and a nobori that is carried around during each class, receiving money from Igusa Hachimangu, making sacred sake and various offerings, and serving red rice to children. We pray for fertility of five grains, safety during the course, and prosperity of descendants. The festival is at the beginning of February.
