★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's an area where you can get a brief introduction of how fake good is being made. There's also lots of "sampuru" dishes to see and purchase as well. There's also a workshop where you could sign up and make fake cabbages and tempura prawns!! It's a happy place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only is the store great for unique souvenirs but the sample making workshop was one of my Japan trip highlights. The class is usually only in Japanese but they were very accomodating and one of the instructors translated the information for my friend and I so we didn't miss out.

Many food sample workshops now use vinyl, but Ganso still uses wax, which looks amazingly realistic.
