★ ★ ★ ★ ★ おしゃれな陶器が沢山あるので、お気に入りの作家さんに出会えます。
私は、黒い陶器に一目惚れしてカップアンドソーサーを購入させて頂きました。朝のコーヒーに、雰囲気のあるカップで飲むと美味しく感じました。
作品によって釉薬の発色で色加減が変わるのでそれぞれが一点ものです。ネット販売が多い昨今、実際に陶器を手に取って確かめながら買う醍醐味がここで楽しめます。
また機会があれば是非お伺い出来ればと思いました。

I fell in love with the black pottery at first sight and bought a cup and saucer. I felt it was delicious when I drank it in a cup with an atmosphere for coffee in the morning.
Depending on the work, the color of the glaze changes, so each one is unique. Nowadays, there are many online sales, and you can enjoy the real pleasure of buying pottery while actually picking it up and checking it.

常時25名の笠間の作家作品を展示.販売
中庭を挟むように回廊式展示場と成っていました。
奥のコーナーには作家作品の個展(約2週間毎に展示替え)
焼き物だけではなく全国の箸?、硝子作品、金属作品、鞄?等販売されていました。
ギャラリーのあちこちに古い扉(蔵の扉.納戸の扉等々)が利用されているのも面白いですね。
作品もモダンアート、古典美術の様な作品、ジャンルを問わずのようにお見掛けしました。

Exhibition and sale of works by 25 Kasama artists at all times
It was a corridor-style exhibition hall across the courtyard.
Solo exhibition of works by artists in the back corner (exhibitions change about every two weeks)
Not only pottery but also chopsticks ?, glass works, metal works, bags ?, etc. were sold all over the country.
It is also interesting that old doors (storehouse doors, storage room doors, etc.) are used here and there in the gallery.
I saw the works as if they were modern art, works like classical art, regardless of genre.
Next time, take a look slowly

おしゃれだし、そんなに高価なものは扱っていない。
作家さん毎に展示販売してある。
カフェ併設してたらいいのにと思った。

It's fashionable and doesn't sell that expensive.

I wish I had a cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 個展があると混みます。開店10分前に入場順を決めるくじ引きをします。
回廊になっていて所狭しと商品が並んでいるので気をつけて歩いて下さい。カゴが無いので気に入って買いたいお皿は手で持ち歩かないと行けません。作家さんの名前が出ていたりなかったりで、きちんと表示していただけると嬉しいです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the largest and most varied selection of pottery and chinaware from area artisans. You can spend a good 20 minutes or more looking around. They are not cheap mass produced items so expect prices to start around ¥2000 for something like a coffee mug. Still fun to shop even if you don't buy.
