電話で見積もりをお願いしましたが「実際に見てからでないとできない。」とのことでした。
回収の日は雨だったのですが、雨粒を一切払わずあいさつもなしに部屋に上がり込まれたときは驚きました。
見積もりは「不用品とリサイクルできるものを分別して回収します。」とのことでした。
そして、ぐるりと私の部屋を見回したのち「ああ、こりゃ全部ゴミだ。」と言い放ちました。
確かに不用品回収でお呼びしたので、それらはゴミには違いないのかもしれませんが、私の一人暮らしの思いでの品々に向かってそのような言葉がかけられるとは思ってもみませんでした。
料金に関しては、「分別しなければいけませんので、分別に料金がかかります。このゴミを持ち帰って分別しますので、今日来た私たち二人の他にも追加で二人分の人件費がかかります。」とのことでした。
そのようなことは電話で料金について尋ねた時には一切おっしゃっていませんでしたので、予算の倍の料金になりました。
内訳を教えてほしいと言った際には、あからさまに不機嫌な顔で「そういうのはいちいち出さないものなんですよ。これひとつがいくらかかるとかではなくて、この部屋のゴミを総合的に見て料金を出したんです。」とのことでした。
私は持ち合わせが足りなかったので、雨に濡れながらＡＴＭにお金をおろしに行きました。
私が部屋に戻ってくると、家具を運び出している方々の「今日は雨だし、こいつ部屋２階だしあれくらいの料金でいいよな。」という会話が聞こえてきました。
その日は私の一人暮らし最後の日だったのですが、きっとこれからも忘れられない日になると思います。
