月居山や奥久慈男体山への縦走だけでしたら、ここが良いです。
今回、奥久慈男体山ピストンでしたので、利用しました。
ただ、道路と平行に駐車するので注意が必要です。
車の前後の間隔を空けましょう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021年11月27日8:00到着にて、10台未満でガラガラでした。明らかに登山者のみで、滝観光の方々はまだです。トイレ併設、個室内に除菌クリーナー設置でした。茨城県北ロングトレイル周回コースで下山したので、帰りは滝観光の方々がたくさん来ている中を歩きました。第一駐車場も空いては埋まりの繰り返しです、紅葉はもう終盤でした。
Arriving at 8:00 on November 27, 2021, it was rattling with less than 10 cars. Obviously, there are only climbers, and there are still no waterfall tourists. A disinfectant cleaner was installed in the private room with a toilet. I went down the mountain on the Ibaraki Prefecture North Long Trail circuit course, so on the way back I walked while many waterfall tourists were coming. The first parking lot is also filled up repeatedly when it is vacant, and the autumn leaves are already in the final stages.

袋田の滝まで歩きますが、紅葉シーズンなど混雑するので、結果的にここに駐車することをおすすめです。
滝まで徒歩で大人10分ちょっと。子連れだと15分はみた方がいいかと。
赤ちゃん連れはベビーカーがあれば大丈夫です。
ただ近くの駐車も300~500円と良心的なので、混雑しない時であれば近くの駐車場でもいいかと。
あと、第2駐車場(ここ)と第一駐車場の間にりんごの直売場があります。
おいしいりんごが安く買えるのでおすすめ。

袋田の滝の無料駐車場は2つのみ。
第一駐車場より先は300円、500円と有料になる。
体調面に不安がなければ、無料駐車場に車を停め、景色＆食べ歩きを楽しみながら袋田の滝を目指すのも一興かと想う。

けっこうな台数が停められそうです。
袋田の滝まではちょっと歩くようですが、自然を眺めながら散歩するのにちょうど良いですね。
利用は時間が決まっているので、ご注意ください。
○５月〜１０月：午前８時〜午後６時
○１１月〜４月：午前９時〜午後５時
トイレもきれいです。
