Originally, the village was located near Fukuchi Shrine, but it was relocated due to the increased water level of the river during the Tensho era due to the market castle on the opposite bank. Furthermore, when Hideyoshi Hashiba's army captured the market castle in the 9th year of the Tensho era, it was burned down by a soldier's fire. If you go through the torii gate and climb the straight stone steps, you will find a flat land, whether it is the original terrain or the civil engineering work of later generations. It must have been a gathering place for soldiers at the market castle. So there is only a big tree in the mountains, but the shrine gives a spacious impression. There was a mystery that I looked back many times after worshiping. It was called Twelve Shrines until the early modern period, but it was renamed Fukuchi Shrine in the Meiji period.
