★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2005年（平成17年）3月28日、旧藤崎町と旧常盤村が対等合併して、県内最小面積の「町」として誕生しました。町章は、藤崎町のふじのりんごと白鳥、常盤村の稲穂を象徴していて、赤は、りんごとこれから新しい町としての町民の情熱を、黄色は、稲穂と平和への願いを、藤色は、白鳥の高貴なイメージと誇り高い町を表現していて、藤色の白鳥と黄色の稲穂とで藤崎町の頭文字のＦを表現しているとのことです。
