★ ★ ★ ★ ★ アンダーグラウンドミュージックを取り扱う大阪の老舗中の老舗です。昔は梅田にも心斎橋にも店舗が有りました。ロック中心(特にパンク)なのですが、ロックに留まらないレベルミュージック全般のセレクトのセンスが凄まじく素晴らしくて、私はこのお店に人生を狂わされた。フォーエバーの影響を受けていないレコード店は関西に存在しないのではないでしょうか？当時に来日していた外国人の話から推測すると、世界を見回しても最先端のレコード店だったと思われます。
ただレベルミュージックはロック以外にも展開していって細分化も激しくなった、それに音楽産業構造も変化してしまった。ZOZOTOWNの社長の様な大富豪も生まれたけど、所詮アンダーグラウンドな人間なんて器用に生きて行けないのか？と現在のフォーエバーレコードを観ていると感じるのです。
It is a long-established store in Osaka that handles underground music. There used to be stores in both Umeda and Shinsaibashi. It's rock-centric (especially punk), but the selection of level music in general, not just rock, was so wonderful that I was crazy by this shop. Isn't there any record store in Kansai that isn't influenced by Forever? Judging from the story of a foreigner who was visiting Japan at that time, it seems that it was a state-of-the-art record shop even if you look around the world.
However, level music has expanded beyond rock and has become more fragmented, and the structure of the music industry has also changed. A millionaire like the president of ZOZOTOWN was born, but after all, can an underground person live dexterously? I feel like I'm watching the current Forever Record.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great shop. No signage on the lift that I could see but it's on on the 5th floor. Great range of 60's, 70's and lots of prog. Also large amount of US and UK punk, new wave and indie from 80's. A must visit store in Osaka.
