清	清慎一郎 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今川氏が統治していた室町時代の三日市場に端を発し武田氏の運営する城下町を経て江戸時代の始まり1601年の五街道制定に伴い東海道五十三次18番目の宿場町としてスタートしました。宿場の範囲は東の辻の木戸から西の入江の木戸までの長さ約２ｋｍで途中巴川を渡る稚児橋を挟み５．４ｍ幅の道に沿って続いていました。太平洋戦争末期の1945年(昭和20年)7月7日に米軍空襲を受け街並みは軒並み焼失し以前の遺構はほとんど残されていません。それでも現地に立ってみると街道に沿って立ち並ぶ狭い間口と深い奥行きを持つ建物や建物の形を遺す空き地から宿場町の残り香をわずかに感じとることができます。(2019-04-03) Starting from the Muromachi era where Michikawa ruled and starting from the Muromachi period castle town managed by Mr. Takeda, with the start of the Edo period and the establishment of the five highways in 1601, the island started as the 18th post town on Tokaido did.
