1店舗のみになってしまったが、おそらく店で仕込みをしているのか、他のチェーン店よりも味がしっかりしていて美味しいと思う。
味噌汁も美味しい。支払いは現金のみの食券制。

There is only one store, but I think it tastes better and tastier than other chain stores, probably because it is prepared at the store.
Miso soup is also delicious. Payment is a cash-only meal ticket system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつてはインディーズな牛丼チェーン店として、マニアから圧倒的な支持を得た「牛丼太郎」最後の店舗です。
店名こそ「丼太郎」に改名しておりますが、牛の文字をテープで隠しただけのやっつけ仕様（褒めてる）で、それ以外は何から何まで牛丼太郎そのものです。
茗荷谷駅から当店まで、松屋、なか卯とメジャー店が並ぶなか、店頭の電気は常時消灯している状態で営業。
往時の牛丼太郎を知らなければ、まず新規客は往訪しないでしょう。
メガチェーンに対して値段は圧倒的に安価です。
牛丼並み盛りが、なんと290円でしかもみそ汁付。（松屋380円、吉野家387円、すき家350円）
肌感覚では松屋より重量も多く、味も好みです。
そして明らかにみそ汁は、メガチェーン系よりも旨くてたっぷり。
ちなみにカレーライス並は、みそ汁付で270円。
店員さんの所作や接客も丁寧で、店内はクリンネスです。

It was once the last indie gyudon chain store of "Gyudon Taro", which gained overwhelming support from enthusiasts.
The name of the restaurant has been changed to "Donburi Taro", but it is a defeated specification (praise) that only hides the characters of the beef with tape, and everything else is Gyudon Taro itself.
From Myogadani Station to our store, Matsuya, Nakau and major stores are lined up, and the store's electricity is always off.
If you don't know Gyudon Taro in the past, new customers will not visit.
The price is overwhelmingly cheaper than the mega chain.
Assorted beef bowls are 290 yen and come with miso soup. (Matsuya 380 yen, Yoshinoya 387 yen, Sukiya 350 yen)
It is heavier than Matsuya and I like the taste.
And obviously the miso soup is more delicious and plentiful than the mega chain type.
By the way, curry rice is 270 yen with miso soup.
The clerk's actions and customer service are also polite, and the inside of the store is cleanliness.
It's a shop that you want to support for a long time.

そんな時に立ち寄りたいお店に入っている店舗がこちら、丼太郎。往年の古き良き牛丼屋さんという雰囲気のお店です。
実は途中で店名が変わっていたんですね。看板を眺めていたらガムテを貼った「牛」の時が?
「牛丼太郎」→「丼太郎」
お昼時も良いですが、個人的にお勧めは圧倒的に朝方。朝メニューのコスパの良さです。

納豆を付けても350円?
牛皿定食にしても480円?
カウンターに座ってモサモサといただいてください。

It's good at noon, but I personally recommend it in the morning. The cospa of the morning menu is good.

It's hard to come with her or a girl friend, but it's a shop where you can easily drop by alone or with a boy friend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has to be the cheapest place you can find gyuudon in Tokyo. The quality is what you would expect in most gyuudon restaurants and there is a retro feel to the place. I guess nothing has changed since the 1970s - not even the prices. The service is straight forward with no frills, quite like the food but for this price, you can't really complain. Go if you want a cheap, no nonsense meal that fills you up.
