★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 13th floor. The mall’s signs for DTF are in Japanese only. (Even though other restaurants’ signs contain English, and even though other DTFs in malls have multilingual signs. /rant over)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zero stars for Din Tai Fung in Japan.
The only Din Tai Fung that does not serve vegetarian options. In Taipei they do, in Shanghai they do, basically everywhere else they do. For some reason they find it tough to make dumplings with vegetables. I would give them below 0 stars if I could, unfortunately that’s not an option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tast good but but service was poor. They dont check your order and we had to ask them -where is our food? It took us over an hour to get every dishes. They dont change your cutlery before dessert. As far as I know every Din Tai Fung I been to outside Japan change you cutlery.
Staff should be better traind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Go to the entrance front desk & talk to the staff to get your waiting number (+ the menu + where you’ll write your order) before you go to the end of the line. Choose your food while waiting (we waited about 20mins to get in, +15mins for the food to arrive. Still a long line even though we came past 2pm..) The food tasted good, but I guess how it should be considering its price. Unlimited hot jasmine tea is nice with the meal (compared to only ice cold water in most restaurants in Japan) Good food but not really impressive..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A branch of a famous Taiwanese restaurant, located in the 12th floor of Shibuya Square building. It has a modern atmosphere and there are variety of small dishes to choose from. Their most popular item is dumpling. It can get quite crowded during the weekend. We had to stay in line for around half an hour, but the service was quite quick and organized.
