鳥取県大山寺の旧参道
明治の廃仏毀釈までは大神山神社拝殿は大山寺の本堂でした。
大神山神社の神門の逆さ門から下を見るとなにか表示が見えるので気になって確認してみたら倒れてねじれていたので、読み難いので直してみたら、大山寺の旧参道の表示でした。
説明文によると、
旧参道
むかしこの道は参道とよば
れ金門から大智門大権現の殿
堂に真っ直ぐ通じていました
が、殿堂の造営に際して金門
の岩が通行の妨げとなったの
で僧徒がこれを取除いたとこ
ろ大雨が降り大洪水となって
参道が流れてしましました。
今では一部石段が残っている
だけですが当時をしのぶこと
ができます。
