Throughout their lives, the couple respected Dr. Ahn Jung-geun, and his foster sons erected a memorial to Dr. Ahn Jung-geun next to the Chiba-san's tomb in 1994, and in 1981 the governor of Miyagi prefecture erected a monument to Dr. Ahn Jung-geun at the entrance. Since it is a private temple and a grave of individuals, it is the only place in Japan where the Japanese government can not demolish the monument of Ahn Jung-geun. Tokyo Station (Shinkansen) → Sendai Station (90-130 minutes) → Shinkansen Kurikoma Kogen (25 minutes) → Taxi (10 minutes) Daerim Temple. There is also a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kurikoma Kogen, but each station takes about an hour longer. It takes a total of 3 hours from Sendai.
