S	Sakura M.Y on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 公園のような気軽に訪れる事のできるたたずまいで大好きです。元は広大な敷地を誇る、奈良東大寺に対して「南大寺」として大伽藍があったそうです。本堂と収蔵庫の拝観料は400円ですが、天平時代(奈良時代)のレアな仏像が宝物館にズラリ！音声ガイドで案内してくれてわかりやすい。見ごたえありです。本堂本尊十一面は10～11月御開帳。がん封じや病気平癒などのご祈祷をしてます。最澄や空海も過ごしたとにかくすごい寺院です◎ I love it because it looks like a park and you can easily visit it. Originally, there was a large cathedral as "Nandaiji" for Nara Todaiji, which boasts a vast site. The admission fee for the main hall and storage is 400 yen, but rare Buddha statues from the Tenpyo period (Nara period) are lined up in the treasure hall! ご	ごんちゃん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奈良市郊外のお寺です。なんかほっとする空間です。今でこそこじんまりとしていますが、南都七大寺（東大寺、法隆寺、薬師寺など）の一つとされるお寺。昔はそりゃあもう立派だったことでしょう。北側300mほどのところにある杉山古墳は旧境内だったとか。ぶらぶら歩いて回るのもよろしいかと思います（月水金以外に）。また南側200mくらいには東塔跡、西塔跡もあります。それと、岡山県にはこのお寺に関係のある高等学校（現中等教育学校）があります。 It is a temple on the outskirts of Nara City.
