It is unmanned but the radio is on. You can save by using a 7kg washing machine 300 yen. If you use a large red washing machine, you can finish drying at once. I think that it is good to be able to use it without waste even when there is little laundry. Drink vending machines are cheap. It seems that a new laundry was made in the neighborhood, but if you want to save, this shop.

Can be a bit warm in here, suggest to walk around Tsukiji Market while your laundry is being done. 4 big red washer dryer, 800 yen for 4kg load wash and dry. 1000 yen for 10kg load. No detergent needed in the big red machines. Also have separate function to wash or dry only. There's also smaller washer machines that does decent size load for 300 yen, you can buy detergent from a tiny basket for 50 yen (just put your money into the money box provided). And 2 dryers at 7kg and 13kg capacity which cost 100 yen for 10 mins. Doesn't have change machine but has 2 drink vending machines onsite that take 1000 yen notes and give change in 500 and 100 yen. If coins are depleted in those machines just find another vending machine around the corner, they are literally everywhere. If someone left their "completed" laundry inside the machine and there's no free machine just unload them into one of the provided plastic box and put on the rack for the owner to collect. A few locals were very helpful at explaining things for me when they saw me reading the instructions for the very first time.

The washing machines, if I guess correctly, are operated by putting your money in, closing the lid, hitting the shower button to clean out the machine for 10 seconds, wait for the light to change indicating the cleaning cycle is done, popping the machine open, putting your clothes in, and then closing the door. The combo machines add detergent and fabric softener. The standard washing machines require you to purchase detergent for 50 yen and dump it in when you put your clothes in. There are 4 combo machines, 2 driers, and 5 washing machines. Combos handle 10kg or 4kg of dry clothes, driers do 13kg or 7kg, and the washing machines are 7kg. Doesn't seem to be a change machine here, but you can get change via the vending machines. Have fun!
