Bad service. At 8:30 pm they rush cleaning your table even if you are still eating, the staff clearly show you they want to go back home ASAP. We knew the "restaurant" closes at 9 pm but they are literally kicking you out 30 minutes before. Burgers are ok but the french fries proportion served with the burger is ridiculously small.

Have been hearing about some great burgers here but was really interested in the corned beef sandwich since you don’t see them in Japan much, and they’re definitely rarer than the somewhat currently trending pastrami sandwich, so had to check it out. Their menu details the sandwich as corned beef with mozzarella cheese, and nothing else, and although I was unsure of that combo (definitely is NOT what you would find in a proper corned beef sandwich) but I stuck with it. What I got was a sandwich with a lot of alfalfa sprouts among some lettuce, a slice of tomato, some thin layers of mozzarella/mayo-type sauce, which although looked like cheese but tasted more of mayo to me, which was barely noticeable as is. Among all that was some shredded corned beef (kind of like corned beef hash without the potatoes pieces). Not much of it, maybe 2 tablespoons worth and definitely not what I was expecting, but I guess it tasted ok but I had to squeeze in some mustard to add a little more depth to the flavor. I highly doubt I’d order it again though. You can upgrade to larger side of fries for free, which of course I did, and during lunch you also get a free drink. All in all 1,400 yen. The place itself is pretty relaxed with a “diner-ish” vibe, with a US-based 80’s hip-hop, R&B, club music radio “station” streaming in the background, complete with cheesy radio announcements and commercials (which actually made me feel at home, truth be told). They have some outdoor seating right in front of the shop, which requires payment upon ordering, unlike the inside seating where you pay after you’re done with your meal, and some rooftop seating as well based on the signage I saw on my way out. A decent place overall, and their burgers show a lot of promise, but I’d skip the corned beef unless you’re feeling adventurous, as it’s not the corned beef sandwich you are familiar with. I definitely would have to try one of their many hamburgers which I have heard some great things about. ———————————— ———————————— For more great places to eat in Japan, join follow us on INSTAGRAM: @gaijineatsjapan for highlights from the Facebook group: Gaijin Eats Japan.

It's like the typical American diner that you'll see on the movies?? But, with a little touch of Japanese culture? I ate a French toast with bacon and it was delicious. They offer a lot of drinks, and it surprised me how many different types of lemonades? they have. I picked the vanilla lemonade and I loved it. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is young and busy. Not the best place if you wanna chill and relax. Also, the place smells like french fries? xD, but that's OK for me?

The spot is nice, it has a terrace and a rooftop. You can go there and it will be considered as “to go” food. During covid times we wanted to eat outside but we noticed the rooftop was a smoking allowed area so we decided the terrace at the 1F. It was quite surprising then how 3m from the terrace is where the workers go to have the cigarette break, so all the customers will get the bad smell. This is specially surprising when they could go to the rooftop. Regarding the food, it is this kind of food that looks better in the pics than it tastes but it is not bad. They serve quickly, portions are good size and it tastes ok. We ordered a salad and 2 burgers. I dis jot understand well the mix of raw ham with shrimp and tuna but it was good. The burgers were quite salty but good, nice bread. Probably without the smoking incident this would have been a 3.5 but I find it a big lack of care for their customers, hence the 2 stars.

Great America Diner. Spacious and friendly. Burgers are good sized, and less greasy (more healthy) than the USA version. Kids menu is also available and my daughter says it’s the best in town. The ashtray is available outside, near the entrance and it’s from the USA ... cool!

Good pastrami sandwich, even if the fries were sad. Cherry pie was surprisingly good, too. Would recommend

Nice spot on a side street. Lots of food options. Ordered Nachos and it looked like a salad but it was really good. The club sandwich used crispy bacon strips, which seems like a rare option in Japan. There’s some outdoor seating and a rooftop (which I haven’t been up to).

Was excited to try the corn beef sandwich but a little disappointed with the taste. Sizing is on the larger size but also felt overpriced as well. Also there’s no lunch set on the weekend. Would come back just for dessert but probably not to dine.
