About Bird Coffee
When you first enter the store through the entrance under the trees, you can see our big trees through the large windows. Even the birds come for a bite to eat – you can see them munching on seeds from the nettle tree.Everything used at Bird, from the plates to the coffee cups, was tested and remade many times.
The tables and chairs are also TRUCK products so that While drinking coffee, you can also test out the furniture. As the green of the leaves on the trees turns to red and they fall to the ground with the coming of winter, we light our wood burning stove that sits by the entrance. It burns the scrap wood from our workshop across the road, which is mostly sturdy, dried oak that before we had no choice but to throw away but now have put to use as fuel. We didn’t just buy it for decoration. It adds warmth and ambience to the cafe, and that alone makes us happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would never have encountered this place as it's far from the main tourist areas in Osaka. Cosy interior with charming decor in collaboration with TRUCK furniture workshop (their workshop is at the opposite building, be sure to check it out too).
Food is made fresh and hearty. They also serve alcohol. If you're just looking to have afternoon coffee, be sure to order their fresh donuts. Unofficial photography of the interior is not allowed as the interior are designed by the owners of TRUCK.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not worth the trip out of town - expensive, very limited menu, service and food sub-standard when you consider the price and a loooong wait if it’s busy... seems to just be catering to the hipsters/try-hards of Osaka. We had a main course, coffee and doughnuts - nothing amazing or memorable there.
Very snobbish. I’m all for an instagram friendly cafe, but with it being so busy you can’t even get a good snap! Nice furniture store next door if you can afford it, but owned by the same people so the snobbery remains in both premises.
