★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very genuine speakeasy bar in Ginza. Very hidden, took over 20 mins to find it after the taxi driver drop me down. No signs, no indications, in an anonymous apartment at the 4th floor of a quite shabby building, only female bar tenders, a superselection of Japanese whiskeys, a fantastic cocktail experience. They don't speak English, but obviously they know all cocktails name, so no problem. Try it!

Smoking ruins the taste of the otherwise delicious drinks. (In addition to ruining health.)

7600 yen for one nice cocktail and two small standard whiskies that you can get at the convenience store for 2300 yen per bottle.

They offered us water when we got our drinks but it took around ten minutes until we got that water which we needed to cleanse our palates before trying the drinks.

It was hidden away and they were a little surprised to find some gaijin in their bar... but through another guest and the magic of Google translate we were able to chat amiably. Cocktails are great: they have an actual, prize winning cocktail champion working there! Also, after a bit of a chat, they also found a great Japanese whiskey to match the taste of my favourite Islay malts. Just a wonderful moment in Tokyo.
