★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 拝殿の左に聳える樹周20メートルの大樟です。樹齢は1,000年を越えると言われ、昭和8年に国の天然記念物に指定される程の大木です。大樟の樹下に石祠で祀られているのが疱瘡神です。
それにしても、その大きさには圧倒されてしまいますが、当時の内閣総理大臣であった若槻礼次郎がこの大楠を褒め称えた碑が境内に残されており、一様にその大きさに驚くのは位に関係がないようです。
It is a 20-meter-long Okonogi towering to the left of the hall of worship. It is said that the tree is over 1,000 years old, and it is a large tree that was designated as a national natural monument in 1933. The smallpox demon is enshrined in a stone shrine under the tree of Okonogi.
Even so, I am overwhelmed by its size, but there is a monument in the precincts where Reijiro Wakatsuki, who was the Prime Minister at that time, praised this Okusu, and I am surprised at the size uniformly. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the rank.
