出雲国風土記登場地 阿用郷
と記した標柱が建っている。「風土記」に古老の話が載っている。田んぼを守る農家の息子を一つ目の鬼がやってきて食べてしまう。両親は竹藪に隠れたが、怖いあまりに竹の葉が揺れ、息子は「あよあよ（動動）」と声を挙げた。そのため、この郷を阿欲（のちに阿用に改めた）と呼ぶようになった。一つ目の鬼を「天目一箇神」に結びつける説がある。製鉄・鍛冶の神様。
同じ場所に、大きな「蝶」のレリーフが建っている。近くの阿用小学校の子どもたちが、「いつまでも豊かな自然が変わらないで」欲しいという願いを込めて作成したもの。

There is a pillar marked with. The story of an old man is mentioned in "Fudoki". The first demon comes and eats the son of a farmer who protects the rice fields. His parents hid in the bamboo bush, but the bamboo leaves shook so scary that his son shouted, "Ayoayo (movement)." Therefore, this town came to be called Agre (later changed to Ayo). There is a theory that connects the first demon to "Tenme Ichikagami". God of ironmaking and blacksmithing.
A large "butterfly" relief stands in the same place. It was created by the children of the nearby Ayo Elementary School with the wish that "the rich nature will not change forever".
