大	大内政雄 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 郡山市街地にあります。入口は、国道4号に面した騒々しい場所であるが、境内の中に入るとしずかです。駐車場はないようです。御祭神は迦具土神（カグツチノカミ）。由緒によると、元禄二年に熊野三山系の山伏が愛宕堂を建立したのがはじまり。現本殿は延享元年に再造営されたもので、珍しい大きな石造宮なのだとか。その他の社殿は万延元年に建て替えられたものだという。小高い丘になっており、神社一帯を「愛宕山」と呼ばれており、境内より望む秋の月は美しく、「愛宕山の秋の月」と言われ、名勝となっていたそうです。御朱印あります。ご神木がすばらしいです。 It is in Koriyama city area. 土	土沢英良 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 神社の境内を見渡すと、至る所に仏教信仰の跡が見られます。つまり明治以降の神仏分離の後の神社としてだけ見てはいけないということです。社伝によれば元禄年間建立ということですが、私はそうは思いません。なぜなら、隣に建てられている稲荷神社の裏に中世の板碑を1基発見したからです。かなり磨耗してはいますが、板碑があるということは新しくても室町時代にはこの「愛宕山」は少なくとも仏教の信仰の対象として板碑が建てられるような場所だったということになります。また近隣のサーパス清水台というマンションの地下からは古墳時代の遺跡が発掘されていますので、この高台が古墳時代には古墳だったりしていた可能性もあります。（古墳の上に神社が建てられていることは数多くあります。）そのほか近世以降の供養塔の類もいくつかあります。稲荷神社の本殿にあたり部分はまさに供養塔そのものと言えます。神社本殿の左側（南側）には湯殿山の石碑が建てられていますが、その礎石には「当山　法印某」と刻字されており、この神社の神主は仏法の法印も兼ねていたということがわかります。いずれにしても郡山市内では廃仏毀釈により仏教的なものが廃棄されたりしている傾向が強い中、この愛宕神社においては仏の信仰も大事にされてきたことをそぞろ歩きで発見することができるでしょう。 When you look around the shrine grounds, you can see traces of Buddhist religion everywhere.
