Best Aquarium in japan

A	A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a decent stop as part of my day trip to Aomori and kept me occupied for about 1.5 hours. It is a small aquarium with a snack bar and a restaurant. The price is decent at 1020¥ for an adult ticket or 2500¥ for a year pass. Had an enjoyable time watching the trainers feed, teach, and get the animals to perform. I found the sign at the petting display hilarious. Apparently they have problems with kids throwing the starfishes lol.
K	Kenny Haak on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a whole lot greater than Aquariums in the states. Sadly this is probably because the whole animal rights thing isn't quite as valued over here. The cages and tanks are super small for how many animals are inside but this makes for awesome viewing. Sad animals, happy customers.

The aquarium has a great range of aquatic animals of all kinds, from all places ranging from the seas around Japan to streams the mountainous regions. The dolphin show was very entertaining with them performing many tricks, including "playing volleyball" with the audience. However, some exhibits look too small for the animals in them, particularly the seals and the sea turtles. One of the seals also seemed to be sick when we visited, and we saw it vomit. Hope it's just indigestion though. Overall, great place to bring kids to and a good day trip out of Aomori!
M	Mengying Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not an extremely big aquarium, but there's not many visitors (perhaps because we went on a weekday afternoon), so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. I especially loved the sea mammals area, where we got to see the penguins and seals. Not the best or biggest aquarium I've seen, but it has its own charms. (The town where the aquarium resides in is near the coast, and also worth a stroll in my opinion.)
T	Thomas Cullen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only been to an aquarium once before and this one is definitely better. Gave it a 4/5 as not a big fan of aquariums as a principle. Many interesting aquatic creatures to see. Great for kids (and adults) with plenty of cool things to do. Bit pricey, but dolphin shows are included in the ticket and there is no time frame in which you have to leave.
V	Vincent F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place gets 5 stars. Do not expect a large aquarium as we are in a more isolated part of Japan. Asamushi is worth the trip! There is a lot of animals to see and the dolphin show is short but very cool! For a small aquarium, it really does offer a lot.
A	Andrea G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was really impressed with this aquarium. Not too busy and we spent around 3 hours taking it all in. A lot of fish native to Japan. The dolphin show was short but often and the seal show was soon after. We did miss the dolphin feeding which was around 2pm. The interactive part at the end was marvelous for children especially.
