Note note this is not a bar. It is a large, busy factory with many workers, trucks, and guards. We arrived without reservations and they said we could not enter. We made a reservation with the guard at the gate house (could not speak english) and he told us to come back in 90 minutes. Luckily there was a nearby area with a few restaurants and shops (about a 5 min walk). When we returned the guard asked for our reservation name then said we could enter. Once inside it is quite nice. It is a comfortable space and many workers speak english. They accepted our luggage without cost. The tour consists of a 10 minute video followed by a 40 minute walking tour and a 20 minute free tasting (up to 3 full sized beers). The English tours were booked so we went on a japanese tour. Although we cant speak Japanese, the tour guide said all important logistical information in english so we were not too confused. Much of the tour is seeing the impressive assembly line process as well as learning about how beer is made. They make it easy to understand with simple diagrams and pictures so that we could mostly understand even without knowing Japanese. Tour guide is extremely helpful and friendly! At the end there is a fun gift shop with Asahi products. Note there is an audio guide available to accompany the tour, but you must bring headphones and download an app on your phone which requires a cell connection. Unfortunately they did not have wifi so we could not listen along. It was a fun and informative tour with lots of tasty, free beer! Highly recommend to all, even if you cant understand the language. Although I do recommend making a tour in advance because they appear to sell out most tours on most days (at least in the summer months). And if you do not have a reservation, they wont let you inside even to see the gift shop. Also note that the entrance is off the street on the northwest side of the factory. It is quite different from the pin on google and the walking directions were very incorrect for me taking the train.

Free booking online/phone (Japanese only) one day in advance. All beer process explained with an English audio guide through a very interesting tour finished by a 20 minute beer tasting (black, super cold, premium...)

A great tour! Definitely worth doing. Seeing the factory in action was pretty epic. You start to realise the incredible scale and precision of an operation like this. Our tour guide was great also.

Asahi brewery was fun, light malty beers and you get 3 @ 8oz pours for free with the tour. Great way to spend a couple hours near Osaka!

Great experience. Get to see how Asahi Beer is made. 600 bottle per minute. 1500 cans per minute. After that you get to drink beers! Limited to 3.

Great tour. Make a reservation if you’re on a schedule. Slightly rushed in the machine district. Bring headphones if you don’t speak Japanese. You can also pre-download the tour app in a pic I’m uploading. You get great beers at the end, and they even gave us some take home beers at the end.

They don't do tours for small groups, but I humbly asked if we could join the next group. We tagged along with a very happy looking Japanese group, and the wonderful guides gave us English audio guides  to follow along with. Overall the tour was very nice, showcasing impressive automation, a fantastic commitment to sustainability, and of course some beer tasting too.

A very fun and educational place. In order to go in,you just have to make reservations booking in their website, it is in Japanese language but Google can help. It is free of charge. The tour is about 1hr plus. At the end of tour there are free beer. If you don't drink they do provide soft drinks as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone from young to old. Only 1 issue if you are taking the train there it take about 15 to 20 min walk to the main entrance. So do add additional time to your schedule.
