★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many places to play for kids, indoors and outdoors. The mountain bike trails and the by-the-river splashing (this one only in summer, I guess) definitely recommended. Not much English spoken, but people very friendly and helpful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful park to take your family in the summer. A river runs through it and they have created little ponds and a couple pool areas for kids to play in. They also had some fun play areas that were free to use. Check out the website as there seems to be tons of events during summer break. Admission to the park is 450 yen for adults and kids 0-14 years old are free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning display during wintertime Christmas, music and lights pulsing along to the beat. It was snowing when we went, so it definitely added more flair, but it was COLD!
I didn’t bring gloves and my fingers were starting to go numb. There was a photographer on site when we went and there was quite a long line to get a commemorative picture.
It’s definitely a good place to visit whether you are on a date, or want to bring the kids. Very nice walk through the entire grounds.
