★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 秋田鉱山専門学校（1910年設立）が前身の歴史ある国立大学。鉱業博物館が併設されている事からもわかるが、鉱業関連（現 工学資源学部）学部が強い印象。秋田駅からほど近い立地で、キャンパスは樹々に覆われ広々としており綺麗。理系学部で日本で唯一の通信教育（但し、修業しても大卒の資格を得られる訳ではない。）が開講されており、社会人教育にも力を入れている。都会の雑踏から離れて、研究生活に集中するには良い環境であるように感じた。
Akita Mining College (established in 1910) is a historical national university. As you can see from the fact that there is a mining museum, the department of mining (currently Faculty of Engineering Resources) has a strong impression. Located near Akita Station, the campus is covered with trees and spacious and beautiful. The only correspondence course in Japan at the Faculty of Science (though it does not mean that you can qualify as a university graduate even if you complete the course) has been opened, and is also focusing on adult education. I felt that it was a good environment to concentrate on research life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

国立大学だけあって大学図書館は県民全員に開放されています。
ちかくに鉱業博物館と学生寮と放送大学があります。
The faculty that follow the flow of the Faculty of Mining are excellent.
Since it is a national university, the university library is open to all citizens.
There is a mining museum, a student dormitory and an open university.

A very good national university, the teachers are also very conscientious and have a high level of teaching. Canteen meals are also quite delicious, with different dishes every day.
