Wow! What a wonderful shrine. Modern and traditional. Very helpful staff and great souvenirs. So happy to have seen this place. Great place to hang out for awhile. Thank you

Kagurazaka area, nice walk around. This shrine was rebuilded just a few years ago. Lightly sunny place with old tree and interesting omomori things, omikuji. Take your book (goshuin) with you. Calligraphy is available too. Cafe inside the yard.

The cutest Komainu you can find in the modern shrine designed by Kengo Kuma.

Nice hidden spot to visit in Tokyo. It's a good contrast that a historical shrine accompanied with modem buildings. And the charms and the lucky draw are so cute !!

The architecture is a big draw. When they were rebuilding a few years ago they made a daring choice to go with modern architecture so very different to most shrines. The stark contrast of glass and concrete is impressive. The shrine grounds are tranquil, but I personally find earthen shrines and temples more spiritual. Akagi shrine is lacking in this regard in my opinion. Beautiful torii. Good location. Free to admire. Surrounding neighbourhood very charming with lots of quaint coffee shops and confectioners.

Famous wood architecture Kengo Kuma designed this shrine. The whole praying process is very transparent

Lovely little shrine area with helpful QR spots where you can scan the code to learn about the spot. However, the English translation for the QR Web page is very bad and we instead opted to just wander in and look at things at our leisure.

A very calm and charming little place. Probably not a location to make a special trip to see. However, if you're in the area, it's worth dropping by. There are many great places to eat in the area as well.
