A small, unmanned station with only a platform and a waiting room. Right in front of you, there is a park of Katakuri, which has a panoramic view of Mt. Kamo and blooms in early summer. It's one of the stations you can't miss.

この駅から西に真っ直ぐカタクリ公園には塩竃神社があるそうです。石祠タイプの簡素なお社でしょうか。自分はあいにくの雨上がりで歩くのに自信がなく参詣しませんでしたが、春にはお詣りしたいですね。
It would be nice if the Tadami Line was restored and the station was reopened.
It is said that there is Shiogama Shrine in Katakuri Park, which is straight west from this station. Is it a simple stone shrine type company? Unfortunately, I wasn't confident in walking after the rain, so I didn't visit, but I would like to visit in the spring.
