ベ	ベンツまつ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 主人と私がそれぞれが気になった物をチョイス。私はチーズボール、笹だより(しそ)、冬季限定の四季の笹かまぼこ【かに】をチョイス。先ずは四季の笹かまぼこ【えび】を・・・かーーーにーーーー、何処に？もっと蟹の味が欲しいわ！うっすら蟹の味って感じ。食感はプワっとムッちっと。次は笹だより(しそ)はまぁまぁの紫蘇感。２口(お上品に)で、美味しく頂きました。最後にチーズボール。あ・・・これ、好きです。外はふっくらムッちっとぷりっとしている食感に、中はとろ～～りとクリームチーズが出て来るの！お土産にも色々混ぜ合わせで購入すると喜ばれる感じです。 Choose the ones that my husband and I were interested in. The outside is fluffy and plump, and the inside is mellow with cream cheese! It feels good to buy a mixture of various souvenirs.

E	Eat Ate on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ September 2017 Was recommended for me to try hyotan-age (kamaboko fritter ball) and compare it to a corn dog or アメリカンドッグ (American dog) as they call it here. Can choose between three sauces with different levels of spiciness. in which I chose the medium one (wish I'd chosen the spicy.) -Hyotan-age: Great batter flavor. I feel the kamaboko doesn't add much. Conclusion: I prefer a corn dog over a hyotan-age, I believe the strong point of the corn dog is the contrast between the savoriness of the sausage and sweetness of the batter. On the other hand, the kamaboko here has a light flavor which doesn't provide much to the overall taste, although the texture was nice. Would I go back? No Do I recommend this place? Yes to just try a savory Japanese style fritter ball.

N	Nishant Annu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historic sasa kamaboko (fish cake) store in Sendai. For 250 yen, you can grill your own sasa kamaboko inside the store. Freshly grilled kamaboko are an absolute treat, so I’d definitely recommend trying that. Outside the store, they have a window where you can buy hyotan-age, which is kind of like a corn dog with kamaboko instead of hot dog inside. These are tasty as well, and definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

Beside the usual straight aka fish-only variety, you can find versions with a touch of shrimp, crab, vegetables or even ones stuffed with creamy cheese! They all taste great and you should definitely try them out! There's also a kiosk onsite selling deep fried versions of their fish cakes, in either sweet or savoury versions. Think of them as seafood corn dogs. There might be a queue for those delicious food-on-a-stick but well worth the wait!
