m	morizo “森蔵” on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奈良盆地の古代藤原京の時代からの主要道である横大路(江戸期以降は伊勢街道、初瀬街道と呼ばれました)と下ツ道(江戸期以降は中街道と呼ばれ北は奈良や山城、南は吉野や紀伊方面に通じた街道)が交差する八木札の辻を中心とした町並みです。この界隈はお伊勢参りや大峰山への参詣巡礼の人びとでたいへん賑わっていたそうで、現在、八木札の辻交流館となっている旧平田家(旅籠跡)など、江戸期の伝統的な建物が多数残っており、その数約300軒と言われています。旅籠の建物である旧平田家は2階建てですが、他は中2階建てで中2階の壁面は漆喰で塗り込めた虫籠窓の建物が多く、中には大屋根に煙出しのある建物も幾つも有りました。また格子、出格子や袖壁をつけた建物も多数ありとても趣のある町並みだと感じました。橿原市の町並みとしては今井町がその代表的なものとして挙げられることが多いですが、ここ八木町の町並みも趣深いものがありとても素晴らしいと思いました。 Yokooji (called Ise Kaido and Hatsuse Kaido after the Edo period) and Shimotsudo (called Nakakaido after the Edo period), which are the main roads from the time of ancient Fujiwarakyo in the Nara Basin, and Nara and Yamashiro in the north. , South is the townscape centered on Tsuji of Yagi Fudanot, where the highways leading to Yoshino and Kii intersect. It seems that this neighborhood was very crowded with people visiting Ise and pilgrimages to Mt. Omine, and many traditional buildings from the Edo period remain, such as the former Hirata family (Hirata's ruins), which is now the Tsuji Exchange Center of Yagi Fudanots. It is said that there are about 300 of them. The former Hirata family, which is the building of the Hatago, has two floors, but the others are mezzanine floors, and the walls of the mezzanine floor are often plastered with insect cage windows, and there is smoke on the large roof. There were also many buildings. In addition, there are many buildings with lattices, grids and sleeve walls, and I felt that it was a very quaint townscape. Imai-cho is often mentioned as a typical townscape of Kashihara city, but I thought that the townscape of Yagi-cho here is also very nice.
