★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 重要文化財。巨木を用いて造られているので立派な外観に圧倒されます❗それでいて海鼠壁が優雅できれいです。明治維新後も取り壊されず城跡に駐留した陸軍歩兵連隊の門として利用されたのが幸いでした。
冬季は休業していますので注意⚠️
Important cultural property. It is overwhelmed by a fine appearance because it is built with huge trees, but still the marine bird wall is elegant and beautiful. It was fortunate that it was used as a gate of the Army infantry regiment that was stationed in the castle site without being demolished even after the Meiji Restoration.
Please note that it is closed in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟県の百名城、表門と二つの櫓が公開されている。入場無料、城跡の八割は自衛隊で、一角のみ城址公園となっている。城下町のため道が複雑で駐車場?️アクセスがやや難、堀端の修景を進め雰囲気を向上させてほしい。
The famous castle of Niigata Prefecture, the front gate and two towers are open to the public. Free admission, 80% of the castle ruins is the SDF, and only one corner is a castle park. Because of the castle town, the road is complicated and access to the parking lot is a little difficult.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 現在の建物は江戸末期の再建で表門は櫓門となっていて中も見学出来ます。少ないですが資料館となっています。
The current building was reconstructed in the late Edo period, and the front gate is a lock gate, so you can see inside. It is a small museum.
