★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 文化二年（１８０５）に東海道と本坂通（姫街道）の分岐に近い、現在の西新町に建立された常夜燈です。その後移転されましたが平成になってから、もとあった場所に近い現在地に移されました。
 It is a nightlight built in the current Nishishinmachi near the branch of Tokaido and Motozakadori (Himekaido) in the second year of culture (1805). After that, it was relocated, but since the Heisei era, it has been relocated to the current location near the place where it was originally.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 春日燈籠型の秋葉山常夜灯。基壇部分に少し損傷がありますが、非常に状態がよく遠くからでも目立つぐらい立派です。同じ型の常夜灯は田原、岡崎、浜松市東区、天竜区でも見ることができますが、あまり数はないので珍しい常夜灯です。
Kasuga lantern type Akihayama nightlight. There is some damage to the base, but it is in very good condition and is noticeable even from a distance. The same type of nightlight can be seen in Tahara, Okazaki, Higashi-ku, Hamamatsu-shi, and Tenryu-ku, but it is a rare nightlight because there are not so many.
