頭巾や背中の「毘」の文字が金箔になっている。
3Dのモデリングが粗いのもあり、近くに寄ってみると少し残念な気持ちになるかも。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 上越妙高駅の東口に駐車場と並んで佇む「上杉謙信公 騎馬像」は2015年の北陸新幹線延伸に伴う上越妙高駅開業に合わせて設置された像です。
案内板には、川中島の戦いの頃の30代の謙信をイメージして制作されたと記載されています。また、このブロンズ像の大きさは高さ3.7m、長さ4.1m程とのこと。近くで見ると迫力のある像となっています。
そのほか、案内板には上杉謙信の略歴や像を制作した方の想いが記載されています。
The statue of Kenshin Uesugi, which stands side by side with the parking lot at the east exit of Joetsu Myoko Station, is a statue that was installed in conjunction with the opening of Joetsu Myoko Station following the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015.
The information board states that it was created in the image of Kenshin in his thirties during the Battle of Kawanakajima. The size of this bronze statue is 3.7m in height and 4.1m in length. It is a powerful statue when viewed from a close distance.
In addition, the information board contains the biography of Kenshin Uesugi and the thoughts of the person who created the statue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ２０２１年２月に娘の大学受験の時に訪れました。その時は下の台の高さまで雪で近寄れませんでした、まるで雪上を走っている（歩いてる）馬の様でした。カッコいいです。
I visited in February 2021 when my daughter took the university entrance exam. At that time, I couldn't get close to the height of the platform below because of the snow, it was like a horse running (walking) on the snow. It's cool.
