★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔浜街道の通り道だったこの地区には沢山の遊郭があり、沢村と呼ばれていました。この神社の右に小さなお稲荷さんがあり、それが遊郭を守ってくれていたとのことです。
また、釜石の各神社の片隅には、金勢大明神が多くみられたそうです。
