緑	緑鴎（ももんが） on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国鉄下河原線の廃線跡に作られた緑道で、主にサイクリング道となっています。下河原線は国分寺駅と東京競馬場前駅(府中本町駅の西側)、下河原貨物駅(現、郷土の森公園西側のマンション)を結んでいましたが、ほぼ並行する武蔵野線の開通や砂利採石の中止、セメント工場の廃業等で、廃止となりました。明治の頃、郷土の森公園辺りで採られた砂利は蒸気機関車で都心へと運ばれ、山手線の高架線(秋葉原-上野間)のコンクリートに使用されたそうです。蒸気機関車が砂利満載の貨物列車を引いてハケ(武蔵野の方言で河岸段丘の崖)を上る必要があったため、坂はなだらかに作られています。そのため、自転車でも坂を上りやすいのがありがたいです。(でも、しんどいですけど(笑))　また、南武線と交差する辺りは「ちはやふる」の聖地としても知られています。 It is a green road created on the site of the abandoned railway line of the Shimogawara Line, and is mainly used as a cycling road. The Shimogawara Line connected Kokubunji Station with Tokyo Keibajomae Station (west of Fuchuhommachi Station) and Shimogawara Freight Station (currently an apartment on the west of Kyodonomori Park). It was abolished due to the suspension of the operation and the closure of the cement factory. Around the Meiji era, the gravel collected around the local forest park was transported to the city center by a steam locomotive and used for the concrete of the elevated line (between Akihabara and Ueno) on the Yamanote line. The slopes are gentle because the steam locomotive had to pull a gravel-filled freight train up the brush (the cliffs of the river terrace in the Musashino dialect). Therefore, I am grateful that it is easy to climb the slope even by bicycle. (But it's tough (laughs)) The area that intersects the Nambu Line is also known as the sacred place of "Chihayafuru".
イ	イッツ・ア・コブ締めワールド on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元は下川原線の線路用地だっただけに、かなりの長さがあり歩き応えは十分。競馬場へ客を運んだり、多摩川から砂利を運んだりしていた鉄道なので、北側から下ると競馬場へと向かう西ルート、多摩川方面へと向かう南ルートに分岐しています。府中市は緑道・遊歩道が充実していて、この道も他の遊歩道とつながっていますので、ウォーキング・ランニングも飽きずに続けられると思います。 Originally, it was a land for the Shimogawara Line, so it was quite long and the walk was enough.
