★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 天穂日命以来代々出雲大社に奉仕される出雲國造がお住まいになるのが國造館です。同館のなかの書院は明治４５年に大正天皇が出雲大社御参拝の折り、行幸を仰いだお部屋で、その後も各宮殿下がしばしば成らせられました。また國造館を語るうえで忘れてはならないのが斎火殿（さいかでん／別に御火所・おひどころ）です。
斎火殿は國造家の潔斎所（けっさいしょ－おまつりを奉仕するにあたって身を清めるところ）です。國造代替り毎に火きり臼、火きり杵によって神火がおこされ、ひとたび鑽りだしたその火は斎火殿の中にあって、その國造在世中は絶やしてはならないとされています。
國造は終生祭事ある毎にここに入って潔斎し、この火で調理したものを飲食します。ですから國造館は単に國造家の住まいであるばかりでなく、同時に厳重な潔斎場という性格を合わせ持っています。

Saikiden is the home of the Japanese house (the place where you cleanse yourself when you serve the festival). It is said that every time a national substitute is made, a fire is created by a fire mortar and a fire bonito. .
Kokuzo will enter here every time there is a lifetime celebration and eat and drink what is cooked on this fire. Therefore, Kokuzokan is not only a residence of a Kokusoku family, but at the same time, it has the character of a strict Jeijo.
