★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千里丘陵を深く刻む山田川の渓谷を一望に見渡せる天然の丘城
現在はスターバックスの駐車場になっていますが崖の輪郭は竹林としてしっかり残っており往時を偲ぶことができる
東西約270m×南北145mの規模の城だったと云われている(東摂城趾図誌）
元弘年間(1331-34)、赤松円心の息子赤松則祐による築城とされ、建武の乱で後醍醐天皇派の拠点として足利尊氏派に執拗に抵抗をしたと見られている（1337年摂津守護代書状）
赤松則祐が九州へ逃げた跡、「細川四天王」と呼ばれた細川勝元家臣香西玄蕃が城主となり 付近の寺院などから寺領を強奪する際に資材を調達し改修
十三の支城を周囲に構築し戦乱に備えたという
現在判明しているのは佐井寺城・新家砦・郡山城・穂積城・水尾城・沢良宜城・目垣城で西国街道から淀川までの東西陸路の要衝を抑えています
文亀3年(1503年)には香西玄蕃の任地替えに伴い、山城を取り壊した模様

Currently it is a parking lot of Starbucks, but the outline of the cliff remains firmly as a bamboo grove and you can remember the past.
It is said that the castle was about 270m east-west x 145m north-south.
It is said that the castle was built by Norisuke Akamatsu, the son of Akamatsu Enshin during the Genko era (1331-34), and it is believed that he relentlessly resisted the Ashikaga Takauji faction as a base for the Emperor Go-Daigo faction due to the turmoil of Kenbu (1337) Guardian letter)
After Akamatsu Sokuyu fled to Kyushu, Katsumoto Hosokawa, a vassal of Katsumoto Hosokawa, became the lord of the castle and procured materials to repair the temple territory when he robbed nearby temples.
It is said that thirteen branch castles were built around it to prepare for the war.
Currently known are Saidera Castle, Shinke Fort, Koriyama Castle, Hozumi Castle, Mizuo Castle, Sawayoshi Castle, and Megaki Castle, which suppress the important points of the east-west land route from Saigoku Kaido to Yodo River.
In Bunki 3 (1503), it seems that Yamashiro was demolished due to the change of position of Genbu Kasai.
