★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 京都府の長岡京市の友丘二丁目、新西国街道と旧西国街道が分かれて行く地点から、旧西国街道を西に歩いていくと石塔が建っている。
この石塔は「与市兵衛の墓」と言われる供養塔だと言う。
じゃあこの石碑はなんなんだというと清誉浄佐という人物が、両親を供養するため、高野聖を千人寄宿させたことを石碑に刻んで置いた…だそうです。高野聖は高野山を起点に全国を行脚しているお坊さんのこと。清誉浄佐のご両親は国中を歩く高野聖をきっと手厚くもてなしていたんでしょうね。
「与市兵衛」と言うのは、「忠臣蔵」の登場人物の一人である人物で、「萱野三平」の妻の「お軽」の父であり、萱野三平にとっては義父に当たる人物である。
ただし、実際の赤穂浪士の物語とは違って人形浄瑠璃や歌舞伎でお馴染みの「仮名手本忠臣蔵」と言う物語での話です。
 If you walk west along the old Saigoku Highway from the point where the New Saigoku Highway and the Old Saigoku Highway are separated from 2-chome, Tomooka in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto Prefecture, you will find a stone tower.
This stone tower is said to be a memorial tower called "Yoichibei's grave."
Then, what is this stone monument? A person named Seicho Jossa engraved on the stone monument that he had sent a thousand boarders of Takano to memorialize his parents. Satoshi Takano is a monk who has been pilgrimaged nationwide starting from Mt. Koya. I suppose that Kiyosada Jossa's parents would have been kind enough to welcome Satoshi Takano who walked all over the country.
"Yoichibei" is one of the characters in "Chushinzura", the father of "Ogaru", the wife of "Sanpei Kayano", and the father-in-law of Sanpei Kayano.
However, unlike the actual story of Ako Nanshi, it is a story called "Kana Tehon Chushingura" familiar with puppet theater and Kabuki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西国街道沿いの住宅街にある石碑です。お軽勘平のお軽の父与市兵衛の墓と後世誤って認識されてしまったとのこと。馬町の十三重塔も同じですね。
It is a stone monument in a residential area along the Seigoku Kaido. It is said that it was mistakenly recognized as the grave of Okaru's father, Ichibei. The same goes for the 13-storied pagoda in Mamachi.
