１３４・６８５ｍの鉄塔に放送局のある渋谷方面と堂平方面へ向いたパラボラアンテナが設置されている。
非常用の施設として位置付けられており、通常は使用されていない。久喜市の菖蒲久喜ラジオ放送所からの送信ができない時に使用される。
通常でも年数回、菖蒲久喜ラジオ放送所で大掛かりなメンテナンスが行われる際の減力放送時に運用されている（原則・月曜日の午前1:00 - 5:00）。
0:59頃の放送告知のアナウンスで「通常の300kWから10kWに切り替えて放送します」が流れていれば、ここから送信されることになる。
民放局であればメイン送信施設として使用されていても不思議ではない規模だが、非常用施設として運用している辺りにNHKの規模の大きさや、豊かな財政状況を感じる施設でもある。
