12月頭の朝に行き、冷たい風を感じながら終わりかけの紅葉を見れたのはよかった。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ガラス工場跡〜現貝柄山公園の間（2丁目9〜12）あたりが中沢貝塚の中心で貝殻混じりの土が見られるのは狭いエリアですけれど、このあたり一帯貝殻だけでなく以前は普通に土器も見つかりました。
たとえ見つけても持ち帰ってはいけませんが・・・
但し、ある時期以降は造成時に1、2ｍ程度掘り返して調査するようになっていましたから浅い場所からはもう目ぼしいものは出土しないと思います。
大昔、一体まるごとの人骨が出土したこともあるそうで地域の歴史を綴った本（学校所蔵書籍）に記載されていました。
貝塚ってここから更に数十km内陸の方にもありますが、昔はどんな地形だったのかな・・・って少しロマンを感じますね。
Between the glass factory ruins and the present Kaikeiyama Park (2-chome 9-12) is the center of Nakazawa Kaizuka where you can see a mixture of shells in a small area. Also found.

A long time ago, the whole human skeleton was excavated, and it was written in a book (school book) describing the history of the region.
Kaizuka is also a few tens of kilometers inland from here, but what kind of topography was in the past ... I feel a little romantic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ たて穴式住居や埋葬された人骨が発掘されて、中学校の社会の先生から、考古学的にも全国的に有名な貝塚だと聞きました。
このあたりで子どもの頃、遊んでいたら、土器の破片のようなものが、いっぱいありましたけど、本当に土器だったのか、植木鉢の割れた破片だったのか、今となっては分からず。
貝塚の説明書きも、今は、ゴミ収集の置き場にくっついていて、市ももう少しちゃんと管理すれば良いのに・・・と思います。
発掘された、めぼしい縄文土器や、住居跡と人骨が、郷土資料館に展示されています。
この下の、貝殻山公園の谷は、縄文時代は海だったらしいですよ。

The explanation of Kaizuka is now attached to the garbage collection area, and I think the city should be managed a little more properly.
Excavated, remarkable Jomon pottery, as well as house traces and human skeletons are displayed at the local museum.
It seems that the valley of Mt. Shell Shell Park below was the sea in the Jomon period.
