6世紀初めの天皇陵（大王陵）今城塚古墳の被葬者と想定される継体大王（けいたいだいおう=天皇）の子、安閑大王（あんかんだいおう=天皇）のときのこと。安閑大王の「良田はないか」との問に、河内国（八尾市付近か）の豪族の凡河内味張(おうしこうちのあじはり）は答えず。遠く「摂津峡」の「下の口」に井堰（いせき=小型のダム）を設けて、「今井出用水路」を郡家町、朝日町を通して津之江町に引いて「水田開発」した豪族の三島県主（みしまのあがたぬし）の三島飯粒(みしまのいいぼ）は、胸を張ってこの地を示して認められます。
安閑大王は、答えをたばかった味張に、毎年秋に、河内国から三島へ部民（べのたみ=支配民）500人を農作業に送ることを命じました。そのために、近くに味張の部民の宿舎のあった「五百住(よすみ）」という土地があると言います。
今城塚古墳の「祭祀場」と呼ばれる埴輪群は、安閑大王の継体大王の跡を継ぐ即位の儀式の様子を表しているとも言われています。
そう考えると今城塚古墳は、正に継体天皇陵に違いありません。

Mishima rice grain (Mishima no Iibo), the owner of the prefecture (Mishima no Agatanushi), is recognized as showing this place with pride.
King Anka ordered Ajihari, who had sought the answer, to send 500 people (Benotami = rulers) from Kawachi Province to Mishima every fall for farming. For that reason, it is said that there is a land called "Yosumi" where the lodgings of the people of Ajihari were located nearby.
The haniwa group called the "place of worship" of the Imashirozuka Kofun is said to represent the state of the coronation ritual that succeeds the successor of the Emperor Keitai.
With that in mind, the Imashirozuka Tomb must be the tomb of Emperor Keitai.
