★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 30万都市の四日市市にはいささか贅沢なほどの70メートル幅の防災街路で、その真ん中には遊歩道が設置されています。
フリーマーケットや遊び、音楽のイベントが行われた事もありましたが、多少の使いにくさもあって、大きく話題になったことはないのではないでしょうか。それでも、シンボル街路として、市民共通の景観資産として愛されているように思います。
実際、のんびりと散歩する方は少なくなく、類する仙台や静岡や鎌倉の通りに比べたら、活用の点ではさっぱりですが、市民みんなにとって欠かせない存在として、これからも凛と佇んでいただきたい、と願っています。
