★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 第二次世界大戦の戦没者を供養する霊堂です。脇には時計台があり時計の針がガダルカナル島で玉砕した時間で停まっているのがコワイくらいです。私の大伯父様が親族で唯一出征しましたが、海軍所属でした。会津若松市には陸軍の基地があったそうで、大多数は中国大陸に赴き、その敗戦を隠すために部隊ごとガダルカナル島の最前線に送られたと、大伯父様が私の家族に生前酸っぱく語っていたそうです。
また、地元の本等には、戊辰戦争への怨みから、会津の部隊が故意に南方の最前線へ送られたともあります。真実はどうあれ、無念の死をただ悼むばかりです。
