k	kattin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 法音寺橋の真ん中辺りの半円状に出っ張った部分に設置されている「草戸千軒町遺跡」の説明板です。鎌倉時代から室町時代にかけて大規模な集落があったといわれている場所です。草戸千軒町遺跡は川底に埋もているので見る事も出来ず、今は、川の中州で鷺たちの集会所になっています。発掘された出土品は、ＪＲ福山駅の北側すぐ（福山城の西隣）の所にある「ふくやま草戸千軒ミュージアム(広島県立歴史博物館）」に展示されているそうです。 This is an explanatory board for "Kusado Sengencho Ruins", which is installed in a semicircular part around the center of Hoonji Bridge. This is where over the Muromachi era from the Kamakura period and it is said that there was a large-scale settlements. The Kusado Sengencho archeological site is buried under the river and cannot be seen, and it is now a meeting place for herons in the river Nakashu. Excavated artifact is the total has been exhibited in there in place of just north of JR Fukuyama Station (Nishitonari of Fukuyama Castle) "Fukuyama Kusado Senken Museum (Hiroshima Prefectural Museum of History)".
