★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大抵の欧米人は甘い豆を嫌う。職場で隣に座っているカナダ人が昼に自転車で三鷹の下連雀までちょいと出かけて買ってきた饅頭や団子を美味そうに食べるので、これはひょっとしてものすごい菓子かもしれないと思い、店までの行き方を教えてもらった。
饅頭や羊羹や最中などが売り物の和菓子屋である。ここの餡が真に美味い。砂糖の甘みは極めて控えてあり、皮の風味と小豆の風味がなかなかよろしい。饅頭の中では、漉し餡で頭に桜の花の塩漬けが点と乗った饅頭と小倉餡の饅頭の２種が特に美味い。私は小倉餡の饅頭が皮の風味もよくて好みだ。
 Most Westerners dislike sweet beans. At work, a Canadian sitting next to me eats the buns and dumplings that I bought on a bicycle by day and went out to Mitaka Shimorenjaku. I was told how to get there.
Buns, yokans, and middle buns are Japanese sweets shops for sale. The bean paste here is really delicious. The sweetness of the sugar is extremely low, and the flavor of the skin and red beans is quite good. Among the buns, two types of buns are particularly delicious: buns with salted cherry blossoms on the head with strained bean paste and buns with Ogura bean paste. I like the Ogura bean bun because it has good skin flavor.
