Locally called “Otsuka”, this mound is about 5m high, and there is a samurai of the sacred faith. This samurai was organized in this area to honor Okutama Mitake Shrine (Ome City) in order to protect against fire and theft during the Meiji era. However, the mound itself is much older, and according to one theory is a milestone on the Oyama Highway. However, Ichirizuka is built right next to the highway, and is set up to teach travelers the distance and to provide shade for breaks. Like this mound, it is in a field more than 100m away from Oyama Highway. It is unnatural to be made. The straight road running north and south on the side of this mound will not be a milestone because it is a new road that was created after the Meiji period, formerly called "School Michi" or "Seya Michi". (Some people misunderstood this school road as Kamakura Kaido, but Kamakura Kaido passed along the west of Sakaigawa.) One theory other than Irizuka is the "Sengoku Period Watchstand". Certainly, during the Sengoku period, there were records of battles in the vicinity, and the surrounding area is flat, so I think it worked well as a pedestrian stand. According to another theory, there is a mound that buried the victims of war in the Sengoku period. In any case, there is no clear record, and no excavations have been conducted. However, local residents' associations and neighbors are still mowing every year in the summer to create local historical and cultural information. A mound that has been carefully preserved as a legacy.
