They should have gone through the list and simply asked me if this was what I wanted. I did not have a mobile phone with Japanese number so they asked me telephone number of each of the hotel I would be staying. I could not understand why or how this could avoid a traffic accident or something else ? A waste of time for asking my booking detail one by one and the telephone numbers.
